MODALITIES:

  •  Deep (Hot) Stone Therapy – utilizing heated stones to soften tight muscles, trigger points, and soothe chronic muscle pain while lessening discomfort during therapy.  Also used with Swedish relaxation massage to de-stress and relax with the added warmth from smooth stones being pressed against the skin.

  •  Deep Tissue Massage – directed specifically to individual muscle fibers. Its purpose is to un-stick the fibers of a muscle while releasing deeply-held patterns of tension, removing toxins, relaxing, soothing and thereby re-educating, as well as encouraging the muscle to operate at full capacity. It is both corrective and therapeutic.

  •  Pregnancy Massage – Relaxation and therapeutic techniques applied to client while in specific positioning to accommodate the various stages of pregnancy. Normally massage is done with client lying on their side in a comfortable and bolstered position. Massage is geared to the chronic muscle areas pregnancy usually affects. Massage Therapy has a positive affect on lessening the discomfort that the muscles are experiencing due to the body's changes during pregnancy.

  •  Sports Massage – massage therapy focusing on muscle systems relevant to a particular sport.  Assessment of the body's deviation from neutral posture as it relates to the musculoskeletal system.  Therapy aimed at improving range of motion, decreasing movement restrictions, and decreasing or eliminating muscle pain.  Sports Massage is results oriented to improve performance.  Experienced for Golf and Tennis, and running.

  •  Swedish Relaxation Massage – a system of long strokes, kneading and friction techniques on the more superficial layers of the muscles, combined with active and passive movements of the joints.

  •  Trained Labor DOULA – “DOULA” is an ancient Greek word which means a woman who Mothers-the-Mother.  A DOULA stays with a laboring mother throughout her entire labor and delivery experience.  A DOULA provides one-on-one emotional support during labor and birth.  She also provides physical & comfort measures such as massage, breathing exercises, birth ball and position changes to aid labor & delivery.
