Georgia Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)Georgia regulates Massage Therapists by state licensure under the Georgia Massage Therapy Practice Act passed in 2005. “The practice of massage therapy is declared to be an activity affecting the public interest and involving the health, safety, and welfare of the public.” Anyone practicing massage therapy is required to hold a valid license issued by the GA Massage Therapy Board. The license must be publicly displayed at the place of business. State licensure insures the practitioner has met state established standards and education requirements to protect the public from unqualified individuals. The license also holds the practitioner accountable to the state in behalf of the public. All our therapists are GA licensed.
